Thank You For Visiting
Arizona School donations are helpful for school throughout Arizona.
These donations can be earmarked toward individual students and/or programs. They are a direct deduction from your AZ Taxes by keeping accurate records of the donation (s).
The State of Arizona has been doing this for many years to help students and schools develop individuals and programs.
The KND funding has been used for years in the extracurricular tax program. The deduction is a dollar-for-dollar deduction.

Donations for Education
-
The state allows tax credits for individuals who make contributions to public schools for eligible activities and programs. Arizona Department of Revenue
-
For example: pursuant to A.R.S. § 43-401 G, a taxpayer may claim a non-refundable tax credit for making contributions or paying fees directly to a public school for support of certain eligible activities. Arizona Department of Revenue

The eligible activities include extracurricular activities, character education, standardized tests and certain capital items (playground equipment, shade structures) etc. Arizona Department of Revenue

⚠️ Things to note / caveats
-
Just because a school can accept donations or contributions doesn’t mean all donations automatically qualify for tax credit or meet all state rules — you’ll need to check eligibility of the activity, the school’s status, and whether the donor paperwork is correct.
-
The tax‐credit contribution system has specific requirements for the school: e.g., the activity must be “sponsored by the district/school”, “optional for students”, etc. Arizona Department of Revenue
-
Some funds (like federal relief) have targeted purposes and strict oversight (as in the ESSER example).
-
The voucher / scholarship / school choice side (e.g., the Empowerment Scholarship Account) is separate from the donation/tax‐credit system, and has its own rules, oversight concerns, and debates. Education Forward Arizona+1
